🔹 The Most Aggressive Chess Opening (+Halosar Trap) –
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you an aggressive chess opening for White. It is an aggressive gambit from the Caro-Kann Defense, called the Milner–Barry Gambit or the Rasa-Studier Gambit, which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.f3.
White sacrifices a pawn for quick development and a sharp attack. This gambit is similar to the Blackmar–Diemer Gambit, which follows the move order: 1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4. In almost all of the lines, White is having a better position, ahead in development, and has a great attack going.
Watch the video lesson as GM Igor Smirnov also shares some nasty traps and pitfalls that your opponents may fall into.

When will you do the other video that we can use for other openings? Great video.
The name of the gambit is not mentioned,
it is the rasa studier gambit.
I really appreciate your content in helping me develop an opening repertoire. I'd love a video on what to do against King's Indian/Pirc. Right now my only real response is to use a bishop/queen battery to get rid of fianchettoed bishop.
I always thought that …4 e5! is the principled way to respond to 4:f3? 4….e:f3? allows white to attain the gambit accepted position he desires. I know you are a high level coach. I think you ought to at least cover 4…e5 as it will really challenge and shake up the first Player.
Nice tricks thank u
The answer to the puzzle of the day, is: 1 … Ne4 (threatening 2 … Bf2# – if 2 Bxd8, Bf2 is still mate); if 2 Qxe4, Qd1#…
Keep up the good work! As an ancient (67 years old) ex-player who's attempting to revive my 'chops' from the '70s, I'm really enjoying your content! I used to play the BDG (and this 'Delayed Fantasy' variation against the Caro) in blitz, so this particular video brings back fond memories. How about something on the Albin counter-gambit? I also used to love playing that, 'back in the day'…
Love how your cat starts licking himself at 2 minute mark. LOL. Love it.
In the position at 10:36 you claim that after black plays Bb4 that white wins with Qc7. I don't dispute that, but Bg5 also looks deadly.

powerful very understandable and easy to use ,only depends on one
Прекрасни потези. Вреди да се запомнат. Remote Chess Academy 👌👍
The cat behind dont care at all 🤗🥰
This guy is an awesome teacher
Thanks for the video
Well its all complete nonsense because black can just play the Democrats Gambit.
Thats when you just start screaming and shouting accusations of racism.
"Those damn racist white peace's always picking on black"
and then just start making all kinds of moves which break all rules and then take a stick and start hitting the board and scatter all the peace's.
Then start dancing and saying I WIN I WIN.
Is it a Maine Coon ?
It's better to pin the black queen with the bishop after castling,if queen move out of bishop way then check it with the rook and mate.or it will less queen.
I LOVE YOUR CAT!!! 😉
Develop attack and finish with the white is good.
The Dream is fun, but I prefer the Caruana variation
2:24 my opponents play f4 in this position in Blackmar deimar gambit so it might be played in this gambit as well. Could you pls. suggest how to play in those positions as it would be very helpful in such a case.
Nxe4 then only move is Be2 to avoid mate then QxB then QxN and black wins a pawn.
very nice lesson
knight takes pawn, queen takes knight, queen to d8 checkmate.
Knight x e4 😁 let's celebrate 🥳🥳🥳
For the puzzle, if Nxe4 then white should play Be2. If Bf2 then white should play Kf1. Can Black still outdo White?
b – c7 ch K x B Knight x Pawn ch King any, Queen – checkmate
Why not play e5 instead of exf3 for black?
Not so seriously analysis. I feel black can play better.
What did you say the gambit is called? I can't catch it from the discussion. Great videos!!
I’ m a begginer from Argentina , I always see you, you are so pleasant and extremely profesional in your lessons, thank you
Just 5…Nf6 and Black has the advantage. This guy is a snakeoil salesman, recommending all these trash openings to unwitting amateurs.
Thanks a lot Igor! Now I get the soo good idéas when black Open with Caro Cann! That was the last opening I was looking for! 😊👍♟
You tolk to much!
Amazing video! There are a lot to play.
The solution I think is Ne4. Whatever move white makes will checkmate on the next move. If bishop takes the queen, Its checkmate on by Bcf7+, If white queen takes the knight on e4, black's queen delivers a checkmate by Qd1+. No other move cannot defend checkmate to my observation.
The cat behind him is so cute!
Knight to e4 and start attack with bushups
3:59 – not better to go Ne5 instead of B:f7+? The next move is threat of check-mate by B:f7+ and check-mate. Maybe not – the defense: Be6, Bxe6. The pawn e6 not defendable, lost in the future. It would be good when you woud write a book with all this ideas, which are in your videos. I have at home Suetin: Chess Theory and for example I am not certain about that in this book is elucidated what you are saying about the French defense from the view of black and in another video also from the view of white. Thank you for your work. Such a book with these your ideas I would buy when it would not be too expensive.
It is a pity for me that your English is so perfect, that I don´t uncerstand it place to place and I´m losing your valuable advices. Thak you for your videos. How many of them are made? And please read my ask – in the commentary below – whether would not be better in 3:59 to play Ne5.
