  6. You're a friendly FM from France going to a tournament to have a nice time and then you sit down at the board opposite THE BUTCHER who proceeds to mercilessly dismember you piece by piece

  7. Damiano was the first guy who showed it is bad, he didn't play it. Great video, keep up the good work!!!!!

  15. I just found one of your videos at Chessbrahs. I have never enjoyed studying openings much but I like your style. Esp. taking time to explain the ideas and why the inferior lines are lost.

  16. Just recently found ypur channel when i was looking for some lines against the philidor and i really love the way you teach! I hope ypu keep uploading some more lessons!

  17. Hxg is better than F(bishop) xg.?

  18. I actually got to play in a blitz game. Thanks for the video.

  19. I played d3 and went for a king's Indian attack position in response to that opening was that wrong?

  20. Nice video worked 4 hours on it ^^ Im from France by the way rip ^^

  21. Mr. Butcher.

    Jaw dropping lecture.
    Thank you so much

  22. Very instructive. I hope you gain more traction in order to improve that mic quality so we can hear the instructions just that much better! Thank you!

  23. help needed Butcher damiano spotted ^^ Have you a chess.com account please?? good day thanks for your help I will cut him to steaks ^^

  24. looool this position is allready almost lost for blacks !!! ^^^

  25. Wait a second! (5:55) But after 4. Qh5+, g6. 5. Qxe5+, Qe7. If White takes the Rook on h8, is a blunder. Black has 6… Qxe4+ and they have won the initiative. So your theory to refute the Damiano defense is inaccurate.

  26. 9:29 after g5 bishop shouldn't take and you should play Qf7 resolting in a forced mate in a couple of moves

  27. This video has helped me get some quick wins, not just with Damiano's defense but in other situations with an early f6. I always ask myself if I can play Nxe5 and if not whether I can change things so I can.

  28. Butcher, your videos explained chess strategy better than any other channel. Thank you

  29. i was just watching this video, 1 min later i played a blitz round and my opponent was playing damiano defense and i completely destroyed him xD

  30. When queen goes to a5 you attack her with knight and give the piece back then move the rook to b8 and/if queen takes pawn on a7 move rook to b6. I've gotten out of those situations so many times and the best part is I came with it myself as a complete noob. Ha

  31. Finally Someone who covered Qe7
    Thanks
    Great vid

  32. At 9:30: When they play g5, you actually have an even better move! If you play Queen f7, it leads into a mate in 5 sequence: 12. Qf7 Bb4+ 13. Nc3 Bxc3 14. bxc3 Bxe4 15. hxg5+ Qxg5 16. Rxh5#

Of course, black's bishop moves are computer moves just played to delay the inevitable… If black does nothing to prevent it after Qf7, hxg5 followed by Rxh5 will be mate & cannot be stopped. Hope you find this interesting!

  33. What should you do when they defend the pawn on g 6 with the bishop?

  34. Four years later, this channel is still going strong, and we've learned a lot along the way!
