Thanks. Reply Thanks! Reply i Speed up your videos by 1.25. It really helps! 🙂 Reply I really like the Chigorin Defense nowadays. Once I started chess some 20 years ago I used to always accept the pawn in Queen's Gambit and then I moved into Slav Defense. Nowadays I have learned Chigorin brings more action onto the table and can often surprise white on some occasions as the Slav in my games has been a bit more passive one which only targets black to somewhat survive nicely to the middlegame. Reply You are really awesome and your videos have helped me a lot 😀😀😀😀 Reply Hi Dereque. Thanks a lot. I had a nice miniature yesterday, being prepared by your video. My opponent was so irritated after 8.Bxc4 that he blundered immediately, although his ELO is above 2000. 🙂 Reply Your video chess opening lessons are among the best, Dereque, and I always search for yours first online, but once again it would be helpful if you could please have black openings from the black perspective. Thank you for your erudite, colorful and clear explanations in all your lessons. Reply derek,i enjoy your videos, but you got many videos on white but we need just as many on black Reply NIce presentation highlighting key ideas and alternatives. Thanks for sharing with us. Reply Just started watching this channel. Unlike other chess channels you actually go into great detail about what each opening aims to achieve. Thank you and good luck on future videos! Reply can anybody tell me, Where I went in the following moves: 1. d4-d5 2.c4-Nc6 3.Nc3-Nf6 4.Bg5-dc4 5.e3-e5 6.de5-Q*Q 7.Rd1-Ne5 8.B*N-g*B 9.f4-Ng4 10.Nd5- Black's Position is bad …….. Where did I Go Wrong? Reply Terrific rundown! Thank you! Reply fabulous!!! ;D Reply Excellent! Reply Wow. Fantastic video. Thanks Dereque. Reply Great video! The Tchigorin Defense might be just the line-up of play for those who don't feel like wading through the volumes of analysis accompanying the Kings and Nimzo-Indian. Very good summary. Reply very good explain, thank you Reply Great videos Reply Oof. I got destroyed by an early 3.e3 move. No idea what to do. 🙁 Reply What a well-organized presentation! Reply dereque in every video you are in the comments like gotta thank em all Reply So Nice thx. Reply Please clarify something for me, Dereque. At 11:09 you used the word 'generally' played when you referred to white takes d5 with c4. I'm in a game now, played e3 as white as I've learned in your other videos and so far so good plus it avoids double pawns. Is this . I've been playing chess off and on for 30 years but am learning and have learned a lot from you I love all your videos Dereque and will still keep watching!! Thank you again, Dereque. Reply Another very nice opening lesson! Thank you very much for posting these. Reply Hi Dereque LOVE your Videos! After bishop to e3 why not Bishop takes Knight? It damages the pawn structure and means that white will not have a safe place for his kind to castle to? Reply This is a clear and balanced assessment in an excellent format. It wonderfully avoids what bugs me about many opening lessons, namely, overstating the benefits of dubious lines (e.g., stuff like "Smashing Masters with the Fred"). Instead, this lesson gives an objective treatment and shows the Chigorin's virtues as well as its pitfalls. Well done! Reply If you guys want to find rich complexities the chigorin has find carlsen v. Ivanchuk, pillsbury vs chigorin, anybody vs morozevich Reply At 16:28, isn't white's dark square bishop hanging? Reply What about king's Indian attack against queen's gambit Reply Give me my daily dose of Dereque Kelley ! Reply Thanks for the lesson! Reply Its too long preview Reply I love this, Ive been reading my dads books about openings etc, and the thing i hate with them is how they are written, like "if your opponent do this, u do this" there is noone explaining why i should do that move, but u do that and i looove it! 😀 learned more today than the past 5months 😀 Reply This is apparently my most played opening on lichess Reply love these videos Reply At 16:15, after of Bxc4, why not NxB??? Reply Long story short : Chigorin defence sucks Reply Jesus , this guy is light in the loafers… I almost made it through but his effeminate voice overwhelmed me Reply sweet Reply Excellent. The clarity of the explanations is outstanding. Reply An instructive video; but could have done better if you could flip the board Reply just won a game as black in this, it can be tricky for both sides. My king side got relatively exposed (had to castle queen side) by the midgame and my opponent could've possibly capitalized on that as I was busy establishing control in the centre and kinda forging an attack on the queen side but my opponent got a little too ambitious with his knight and I ended up trapping it. Ez dubz Reply thank you Reply Very very interesting opening very well explained Reply Excellent explanation. At first I thought that I was listening to a news caster, because of your wonderful accent. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. Reply Come back, the world needs you. Reply 3:58 a concession is not forced to say as black can still play nf6. Reply Your smile is contagious Reply Your music is too loud my guy Reply 14:30 Reply Comments navigation Newer comments Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
