  1. I'm 600 elo and I would hate to put the Bishop g4 as I'd expect white to push the pawns developing further while I waste turns running the Bishop away. Do most people not push the pawns in that position?

  2. I think I learned more about how to defend against the Scandinavian, thus far into this video.

  3. Thank You Sir,You Teach Me Play chess as well😁🗿

  4. Nkt Gotham casually preparing us for Valhalla

  5. S/o to the yt chess og and scandi main: IM john Bartholomew

  6. These, “You’re playing a 2200 or a cheater” lines are absurd. I just picked chess back up again since being a kid, and know several variations of one opening twenty moves deep. It’s really not that difficult to memorize openings (an unfortunate but necessary evil, I guess).

  7. ooh so it keeps transposing back, i can't wait to look into my opponent's eyes and say, "welcome back to the scandinavian defense"

  8. I regret showing my younger students the Jobava London opening. It took only seconds for that to become the "JoMama" opening. Yeah, I'm still getting the hang of teaching the 6-11 age range. Hopefully they will have forgotten by next class.

  9. Knight takes at 2107 forces a queen trade. OK if that's what you want, I think Black is still better there as well. IDK what the computer says, about even probably.

  10. i just learned scandavian defence closed idk how but yeah

  11. i feel really sad for the 1200 player, he's playing against someone who he subscribed to is is probably very nervous then starts making huge blunders because of it.

  12. 8:06 why is Qd8 not a terrible move? You revert to the starting position while white already has a developed piece.

It looks like how stockfish recommends you just move your king back when you play the bongcloud.

  13. Bruh when your opponent plays this defence it's so fkin annoying. I just freeze by brain stops working.

  14. Nice video, but the historically inaccurate armor in the thumbnail made me cringe a little.

  15. Gotham is like im going to teach another full game in another board while im between the game im currently playing 🥴

  16. I've just CRUSHED a 1200 elo player, winning by CHECKMATE within 3 minutes, with THIS opening! Also, I've done my research and now I get why most "hate" this opening. It is because IT'S DANGEROUS AND EFFECTIVE!

  17. Ist Hard to master an op on 400 elo couse They never play well 😂😂

  18. Let me first say, that Adin, the 1200 that levi played first, would dominant me in chess and is probably a really cool and smart guy, but him blundering the queen and Levi’s reaction too it was so funny. 15:13

  19. "The possibility of g4 are low" 1.7M views… yeah, not that low anymore

  20. Levy you're the best chess content creator ngl… You put so much effort to your videos and you explain such a hard game in a comprehensive way. Well done!!!👌👌💪

  21. Damn i did this on instinct without knowing this existed, the computer told me i did it so i looked it up, no wonder my opponent gave up after awhile

  22. hmm … The likelyhood of facing h3 g4 pawn with g4 bishop … in my 800 elo games basically 100% … not sure but i think this happens instinctively from noobs because attack bishop, attack bishop … the 5 times i did this move, 5 times i had this pawn movement coming – not sure about the knight pawn move afterwards tho…

  23. Got into chess because of Andrew Tate but I'm staying for gotham chess just subbed

  24. "And if they play this…well that's just kind of stupid looking" expert analysis right there

  25. I am playing against bots and… literally none of them does what happens in the video

  26. I'm sick of getting into the Petrov Defense, from E4 so I'm gonna try this instead since its less symmetrical.

  27. In one of your other videos talking about trading you say and I agree it's usually a good trade to give up a knight for a Bishop.

  28. Him complimenting ASchuit and explaining.
    ASchuit Blunders
Gotham NO NO OH NO NO takes queen and sounding very dissappointed and sad aswell
    Was funny 😂

  29. He was talking about g4 and the knight to e5 and h4 and those were the moves I would have made and I'm 400 elo lol

  30. When I used the Scandinavian defense the opponent just stopped playing and I won

  31. Levy saying the likelihood of me playing against the best lines is 0. Me at 600 💀

  32. Now hold on, I played those moves out of instinct, really low rating (700) but they just made sense to me trading the bishop, not a cheater

  33. 9:38 white pawn to b4 black to b4? Is there anything wrong coz its a free piece

  34. I don’t agree with the “you’re either 2200 or playing a cheater” I’m like a 650, total noob, and I think the idea of aggression against the opponent’s overextended bishop is kind of obvious and natural.

I’ve trapped people’s bishops and queens just like that before, (without cheating).

When you’re low rated, you really need to watch out for aggressive tactics, because people aren’t thinking ten moves ahead. They’re thinking “I can get the bishop!”

Put the bishop on the 5th rank.

  35. My brother plays the most random moves ever…and still wins somehow

  36. Pawn takes d5 : 0:52

Knight attacks the queen : 1:18

What we have to developpe : 2:33

If our queen is targeted : 3:01

If white does not occupy the center : 3:19

Why you cant castle queen's side if they occupy the center : 4:00

What you want to be looking for : 5:09
