  1. 5:37
me maintaining eye contact with an ELO of 450 👁️👄👁️

  2. What’s a good response to e4 c6 c4 as a 1400? Still d5?

  3. I just want to know how it transitions into the goated fried liver

  4. You can transpose to Karo Khan with d4 d5 e4 c6. 2e4 is rare but if white plays it after d4 d5 you can do that.

  5. This thumbnail is very visually appealing

  6. How does one practice specific openings and defences against the engine?

  7. 31:16 Qg5 would’ve been best. Even better than Bh6 that you pointed out

  8. You are just an unbelievable youtuber. Congrats!

  9. I hated chess. You have inspired me to dig deep and play this game well. Thank you.

  10. I decided that I was going to start every game the exact same way. e4 for white, d5 for black, so from where I'm looking, same move every time, so no matter what, that moves a freebie, don't need to even know what colour I'm playing. So, I learned the Scandi. I like it. I know it's technically not a gambit, but it feels kind of gambity.
But of course, if they play e4, d4 instead of e4 d5, I didn't really have the book for that yet in my head. I have definitely played c6 in response to that, but I was just going on gut. I guess you don't call that a Caro-Kann, but I'm definitely looking at it on the screen in this video, so I guess learning this Caro will still help on the back of my beloved Scandi

I'm 600 btw. Feel like that might be obvious :p

  11. Bro, I just played 2 games after this game and on the second game, I managed to do the Caro-Kann defense! My opponent played the advanced Caro-Kann then took my pawn and played BF4! It was so fun to play some stuff that I knew how to handle 🙂 I ended up winning the game even though I didn't remember much after that 😃

  12. Thank you very much for all of your videos! <3 They have been really helpful and have made me love the game more 🙂

  13. 2:26 Every other move than Re1, Rd2, Nd2 and Nc3 hangs the light squared bishop as than comes e5 by white.

  14. the opening took me from 1100 to 1300 in a month

  15. I've quit chess and instead started reading books on chess…. Nice story 🙂

  16. Actually I had the same game i think I fought a subscriber

  17. 16:45
gotham: yea this variation is Top Notch

opponent: makes a stupid move that disrupts the variation

gotham: ANYONE BELOW THE LEVEL OF… *and immediately changes sentences , sayi f 2400, when you were about to say 1200…almost slipped gotham we're watching you 😉

  18. Guys, when I have space disadvantage, already castled, I just spawn same moves everything defended, im not attacking my man

  19. Levy: "I understand there's a bit of a rating imbalance." How about over a 1500 pt rating imbalance, lol.

  20. I had a game yesterday which moved into a king (me) vs king and queen (opponent) endgame. Opponent blundered the queen. Not resigning is sound advice.

  21. At 11:30 when you say "I GUARANTEE you will win a game like this"…well, it finally happened! After 455 Caro-Kanns, 16 of which became Tartakowers, I achieved a checkmate in that exact position! (Well, except white had played b3 at some point instead of Qd2, but it counts.) Thanks, Levy!

  22. levy: develop your pieces, play normal chess
me: oh, damn, I was hoping to win

  23. I love how the next recommended video is "How to crush THE Caro-Kann" with Eric Rosen

  24. 3200 engine plays the 2 knights against me which surprised me because I thought it would push the E pawn.

  25. I don't think these GM and IM's understand what "low level play is" they are really REALLY disconnected from what low elo is. I watch so many of these videos and people at 500 elo are CRUSHING these defenses with ease. 500 elo wasn't what it was 10 years ago and I don't think they get that

  26. Found it muuuuch more useful and versatile than KID that I've been playing (as alternative to Scandi) and so far my games as black improved very quickly.

  27. I do well against most variations as black but when I get Nf3 I don't know what do to (I get it 80% of the time). Against that I don't do well. If any of you know a video can you share it

  28. Levy is a Grand Master in my book. He has the best way of teaching. Period…

  29. A noob's question… at around 5:02 min, if Nxd4, doesn't then Qxd4?

  30. i was like "alright let's use this in a game" then after the first 3-4 moves i already forgot how to play the caro kann

  31. what is pisses me off is that these videos with titles like this one have little to do with the game itself, and more to do with parrot setups, blitz or bullet games ( chess is not meant to be played in 5 minute timeclock or less, only the technology transformed it in this ugly no thinking setups….. seems to me that 2.89 million subscribers is not enough and this content is '' GOOD'' for some reason, more power to you sir, maybe it was better for you to not become a GM after all. you dont need the title anyway with so much app ''coverage'' anyway. magnus sacrifices the queeeeeeeen. well that sacrifice was not spoon fed to him, he came to it by his own effort, and he's… ONE OF THE GM out there because hes playing sounding chess, not thinking in terms of setups all day long or how to arrive at a setup to beat an opponent in a blitz or bullet game, because speed is everything and maybe your opponent cant think a proper response IN TIME to your damned setup. you win and you never progress. not to GM , anyway

  32. Dude, do you have any idea how absolutely annoyingly common it is for bg4 to result in an immediate h3 at 500 ELO because…"well…gorsh, he moved bishop I must attack bishop!"
