The most common question I get asked is the top chess openings a player should learn in chess so I thought I’d create a video to answer that question. In semi-order we have:
10. Slav Defense
9. London System
8. Caro Kann
7. Fried Liver Attack
6. French Defense
5. Ruy Lopez
4. Nimzo-Indian Defense
3. King’s Gambit
2. Sicilian Defense
1. Queen’s Gambit
you do anybody have problems with the video??
I'd watch that top 10 aggressive openings.
Thanks Cody :/
Here from Cody Ko
I wish this included some explanation. I understand how to put the pieces where you tell me. But what is the logic? What makes these openings strong?
I've been doing Ruy lopez all this time as a beginner and didn't know it Lol
damn yeh the kings gambit is e4 e5 nf4?? Probs a slip up in the script I guess
Blank and white opening?? RACIST!!
POV you play French defence for white.

The more I study the worse I get ……

Didn't even explain pros and cons with these different openings

Vague asf
Bro u literally explained NOTHING about the Sicilian defence
This is a great job👌
anybody here from Cody ko?
Here in germany we call the bishop "runner"
I swear these names are made up😭
Just setting this aside:
This video was made 7 years ago, and now players have realized that the King’s gambit is not that good anymore and people have ways to counter play it.
nice tutorial sir thank you.
but since so many opening was addressing the queen's gambit i think it should have been in the start of the video
So it turns out my favorite opening is slav but on queens side?
And how do you know what opening to play against the other?
6:45 why did you say knight when you moved the pawn
I am so bad at chess so I am watching this bid currently

I do one that i bring out my pawn on E2 then if they bring their pawn out on F7 then i move my queen to h5 and thats check mate
The rai Lopez.
I have won 100 chess matches online on clash of kings without knowing these lol
I do well with Fried Liver and Scandinavian. I always get mauled by the opponents queen when I try King's Indian.
load stuff like this my #machineiq~
i feel so bad i have never won a game
idk why I use king Indian while I'm in blacks side
Can't really find a video that explains even briefly the common plans for the most popular openings . That would be a most appreciated video
I’ve realized that studying chess completely sucks the fun out of it for me
God loves you so much get too know him before it's too late ❤️
Wowww, I'm always amazed by players who mastered a lot of openings and patterns in chess, it's very hard to memorize all of them, but when you memorize them you can counter some openings and can also easily find some tricks and traps❤️❤️
Your voice! JR?
Who knew all this time i was playing fried liver attack? And by the way why is it called that? 😆
Question with the fried liver defense at the end when you have the bisschop and the queen with wich one do you eat the horse?
If you could slow down bit , a lot of beginner may watch lol
Damn chess is mad after the most recent update
i love how relevant this video is 8 years later, new players every day and once you search one thing chess related we all end up in the same place
3:17
i dont listen to blackies
I thought the French defense was to resign
