    By the way, this defense is named after Slovenian grandmaster Vasja Pirc, whose surname is pronounced like "pirts"/"peerts" (not "perk"). Many people mispronounce it.

  8. Diffirence between kings indian attack, kings indian defence and pirc defence.
    Pirc defense occurs when opponent plays the king side pawn and then you respond with d6(black side)
    Kings indian defense is the same but the opponent plays queen side pawn and you can just the setup with your knight as their is no threat to your knight.
    Kings indian attack is the same as kings indian defense but white side plays it
